Simpson's debut album Autobiography was released in July 2004, and sold 2.9 million copies in the United States.[1] It was certified triple platinum and Simpson won the Billboard Music Award for "New Female Artist of the Year" for 2004.[2][3] I Am Me, her second album, was released in October 2005. It produced two top thirty singles in the U.S. and was certified platinum.[4] Simpson's third album, Bittersweet World, was released in April 2008.[5] Unreleased songs that were written, recorded, or both, by Ashlee Simpson are also included.
