There are two public houses in St Johns, The Mayflower and also the Drakes Drum. (at the time of the article the Drakes Drum was closed). There are a number of shops in Dines Green including a Post Office, Chemist, Fast food outlet and also the [[Coop]]. There is also a local church. |

Dines Green is a large former Council estate on the west bank of the city of Worcester. The estate now consists of a mix of council houses and private homes, although the vast majority are still owned by the local authority.
Formerly farming land, Dines Green was built in the late 1950's and consisted of a mix of semi detached homes and also large blocks of flats. The vast majority of the semi detached homes were built using pre cast concrete, these homes were updated in the 1980's with the concrete being stripped away and replaced with brick.
