No hard feelings?

Just thought I'd leave you a note since I came down pretty hard in my comments about the pumpkin riot the other day. When the hoax/experiment was discovered, I had no prior experience with you and assumed the attack was an attempt to vandalize the Main Page and potentially damage the credibility and reputation of wikipedia. Having seen some of the comments by users who came to your defense, I can see you are a significant contributor to the project. While the experiment was not the best judgment, which you have acknowledged, I can see now that it was not done with bad intentions. I hope there are no hard feelings.Cbl62 (talk) 00:06, 5 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirecting pages

Hello, I noticed that you tried to redirect a page to Khadr family. For future reference, this can be achieved by using #REDIRECT [[link]], instead of just the hash and then link. Have a nice day! :)  Asenine  10:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AttasFLDriversLic.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:AttasFLDriversLic.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:09, 16 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'This gives all appearances of bad-faith vandalism.'

Based upon what, precisely? You've managed to misuse two terms in one sentence. Strive to be better.

'Please explain how you think the topic is missing "a world-wide perspective"...'

One sentence--now three--about someone living in Canada, with no real attempt to explain the opint of the article other than connecting his name to a radical group? There's no perspective at all, really, never mind world-wide.

'..or which citations give incorrect information..'

Since you've provided no easy way to verify them--newspapers these days have on-line archive, you know--the 'may' is perfectly appropriate, ESPECIALLY regarding a living person.

'...the problem with its lead paragraph...'

The lead 'paragraph'--in fact, at the time of tagging, two sentences--provided not the slightest help in determining why the article exists in the first place. It strikes me, in fact, as border-line speedy, given, to quote the speedy criterion, 'does not indicate why its subject is important or significant'.

'...and how you can justify stating that "Very few or no other articles link to this one." when 50 articles link to it?'

Given that those links you tout seem to come purely from the vastly over-sized template, I would say that my comment was entirely justified. The fact that the template is much larger than the article text ought to have given you pause either about the template or the article text, but 'll overlook that for the moment.

'If you do not clearly express your alleged problems with the article on the talk page, I will revert it as vandalism.'

I would suggest you need a refresher on the real meaning of 'vandalism', and the use of inaccurate adjectives such as 'alleged'. --CalendarWatcher (talk) 03:09, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
