World's Worst Driver follows the formula of Britain's Worst Driver, but it includes contestants from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Thailand and New Zealand. At the end of each episode, the most improved driver wins a car.

Fifteen 30-minute episodes were produced, with 7 in the first series, and 8 in the second.

A one-off Canadian special was derived from this show, called Canada's Worst Drivers vs. The World and based on season one Canada's Worst Driver.
