The Sophia Centre
The Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture is based in the and Anthropology Departmentat the University of Wales, Lampeter. The Centre's remit is to study all aspects of the relationship between astronomy, astrology and cosmology, and culture. The Centre supervises PhD students and teaches the distance-learning MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology. The Centre was launched at Bath Spa University in 2002 and transferred to Lampeter in 2007 under the current director Nicholas Campion.
