Election Day

I wonder who Matt and Trey are voting for. --J miester25 (talk) 21:18, 3 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As a McCain supporter, this cheered me up a bit. Best episode of the season. I wonder why Joe Biden wasn't involved? 72.227.229.30 (talk) 03:44, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I've gathered Stone and Parker are "libertarians", or whatever it is you call radical liberalists over there. So it's probably Bob Barr (Libertarian Party) and/or McCain-Palin - because Obama has used some semi-socialist/social democratic rhetoric that could scare such people away. But then again Palin has done a good job at scaring away Libertarians too. Seeing the whole thing from overseas, I get scared that so many people would vote for a ticket involving that unqualified medieval throwback. I just hope that many who voted for McCain did so despite her being on the ticket, not because of it.
- But that's neither here nor there. Anyway; this really was a great episode.

Where's Matt

Why is Matt Stone not credited for the past 6 episodes? Is Trey Parker making all the episodes? - Dorkules (talk) 12:04, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the whole, Trey does more on the creative side of South Park than Matt does. If you look through every single episode you'll find that Matt isn't credited for writing most of the episodes in the later seasons. He's better at talking things out with people and making deals with the network, he handles more of the business side of South Park, as well as contributing some ideas, but of course ideas don't actually get put in the credits. Without Matt there isn't much likelihood South Park would even get aired any more, so he might not be a main writer on a lot of episodes, but he's still extremely important to the process. Did they make this episode overnight???

Everything is completely accurate to last night! the taunting, the wild partying, even the speeches.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.73.70.113 (talk) 03:08, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, only the first 5 minutes were really accurate, they could have "easily" been done overnight! Great episode, by the way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Koubiak (talkcontribs) 03:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think they made one for McCain, one for Obama (in terms of who was the winner) and then just added in some last-minute dialogue last night and this morning. There's been times where the episode has been worked on as little as 30 minutes prior to air.
When was that? I don't think that ever happened, but I might be wrong. I think they are ready with an episode and send it to Comedy Central the morning the day it airs (around 11am at most). --Szajd (talk) 10:01, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I believe that the World of Warcraft episode (make love not warcraft) was worked on until about an hour before hand, then turned in. I wonder what the McCain episode would have been like? 128.205.58.179 (talk) 11:05, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not too difficult, they do have some nifty software for coming up with the animation. The makers of Neon Genesis Evangelion ended a film being shown with spliced footage of the audience watching the start of the film, now that's quick editing! What exactly is this?

I'm pretty sure this is a parody of the Italian Job. Am I correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Crazylink (talkcontribs) 03:22, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's a parody of the Ocean's 11 series, but I'm not completely sure. Voltair3 (talk) 03:25, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's kind of a parody of "Heist Themed" movies in general. I got an Oceans 11 buzz from it though. 98.244.102.191 (talk) 03:38, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I was thinking it was a parody on Hustle(black lead guy, same music, same style in many ways.) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.143.251.33 (talk) 06:38, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah I'd agree about this being a parody of Hustle. The music and set up is exactly the same, and you have the British Sarah Palin as well echoing Jaime Murrays character. Richardm9 (talk) 13:41, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The tunnel reminded me of The Bank Job a lttle 134.114.111.152 (talk) 07:27, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cartman?

What the hell was it with Cartman and the television sets? Was he going around ripping off TV sets because everyone was out in the streets getting drunk? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.102.104.22 (talk) 04:06, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
