== Education ==
McMahon attended Southeastern Bible College in [[Lakeland,_FL|Lakeland, FL]] on a full [[scholarship]] where he graduated with honors, earning a Bachelor's degree in Bible and Pastoral Ministry, minoring in Greek.

McMahon went on to earn a [[Masters_degree|Master Degree]] of [[Theology]] with an emphasis in Reformed Theology from [[Reformed_Theological_Seminary|Reformed Theological Seminary]] (RTS) in [[Maitland,_FL|Maitland, FL]]. </br>While at RTS, McMahon was mentored by [[Roger_Nicole|Dr. Roger Nicole]] and taught by eminent theologians such as [[R.C._Sproul|Dr. R.C. Sproul]], [[Sinclair_Ferguson|Dr. Sinclair Ferguson]], [[John_Gerstner|Dr. John Gerstner]], and [[Richard_Pratt_(American_theologian)|Dr. Richard Pratt]]. McMahon's master's [[dissertation]] was a study on the relationship of the Cross and the Attributes of God titled ''The Continuum of God'' with emphasis on [[atonement]]

Graduating [[magna cum laude]], McMahon earned a [[Doctorate]] of Religion in Theology with an emphasis on Reformed Theology & History from Whitefield Theological Seminary in January, 2005. == Career ==
===Theological===
McMahon began his career as a [[counselor]] to abused children for the [[Florida|State of Florida]]. After graduation from Southeast Bible, McMahon took his first church position in [[Orlando,_FL|Orlando, FL]] as a [[youth_pastor|youth pastor]] until [[1994]]. He was [[ordination|ordained]] to the ministry at the New Meadows Particular Baptist Church in [[Topsfield,_Massachusetts|Topsfield, MA]]. In [[1995]], he moved to [[Georgia]] to take his first senior [[pastor]] position at the Mount Horeb Baptist Church in [[Wrens,_ GA|Wrens, GA]]. McMahon was dismissed from the pulpit at Mount Horeb where he then returned to Florida in [[1996]]. McMahon became the pastor of Celebration Particular Baptist Church in [[Plantation,_FL|Plantation, FL]]. After graduation from Whitefield, McMahon left the Baptist church and was ordained into ministry in the Reformed Presbyterian General Assembly. McMahon is a member of Christ Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPCGA) in [[Coconut_Creek,_FL|Coconut Creek, FL]] where he holds the title of Scholar in Residence.

===Technical===
McMahon took his first technical position as technical support at a time and billing software company in [[Hamilton, MA]] where he worked until 1995. After his move to Florida, McMahon was a support technician for an industrial software company in Sunrise, FL. He began his work as an independent producer of TV segments in 2001. McMahon is employed by Vision Media Television - a producer of short-form documentaries. The shorts created by Vision Media are distributed to clients such as Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC, and Public Television.

== A Puritan's Mind ==
McMahon created A Puritan's Mind (APM) website was created in [[1998]]. The website is dedicated to the works of [[Puritan|Puritans]] and a venue for articles written by Dr.McMahon. APM has over 1600 pages of content covering such reformed topics as Calvinistic [[TULIP]], [[Covenant Theology]],[[ Justification]],[[ The Reformation]],[[ Arminianism]], The Westminster Confession of Faith, Creeds and Confessions in the history of the church, and Puritan history, worship and apologetics.

===Puritan Board===
The Puritan Board was created by McMahon in 2002 as a venue for Reformed thinkers, theologians and pastors to exchange ideas concerning reformed theology. The board is governed by the Westminster Standards. Membership to the board is exclusive whereby every member must be a member of a church, adhere to the [[Westminster_Confession_of_Faith|Westminster Confession of Faith]], the [[London_Baptist_Confession|London Baptist Confession of 1689]], the [[Three Forms of Unity]] (consisting of the [[Belgic Confession]], the [[Canons of Dort]] and the [[Heidelberg Catechism]]) or the [[Helvetic_Confessions|Second Helvetic Confession]]. All members must hold to the historic creeds, viz. the [[Apostles%27_Creed|Apostles' Creed]], the [[Nicene Creed]], the [[Athanasian Creed]] and the [[Council_of_Chalcedon|Definitions of Chalcedon]]. McMahon has been performing card magic for over fifteen years since he was turned onto it during his childhood. The website contains video of McMahon performing card magic and articles concerning classic card magic.
