Kontour

Kontour is a UK electronic music artist, currently signed to Some Bizzare Records.

Biography

Early work included recordings of distorted telephone calls and late night television. Scanners Album

“Scanners” is the first album recorded by the artist Kontour. It was released after the "Protect & Survive EP" and moved on from the minimal sounds of tracks like "Shark Cage". The album was recorded using no MIDI instruments or personal computers, instead primitive music sequencers, Roland RE-501 tape effects and a Roland CR-78 Drum Machine were used. [6] Kontour found the use of such equipment far quicker to use than spending time programming modern equipment. The vocals on the album where treated like a sound source and manipulated with audio effects. The album follows a theme based on paranoia; the idea of always being watched wherever you go. [7]
