Jason is the leader of Ashfield District Council, he was the youngest Council Leader in the Country when elected. Following the May 3rd 2007 elections the Liberal Democrats are now the biggest group on the council. This is the first time that Labour have lost control of Ashfield District Council since it's creation in 1974. After the Council's AGM on 24th May 2007, the Liberal Democrats took outright control of Ashfield District Council. The only entirley Liberal Democrat Cabinet in all of Nottinghamshire. |
