Thank you

Marek69,

Thank you very much for the welcoming message and helpful links. I have a lot of reading to do, I think I figured out how to leave you a message - hopefully this works. I will ask you any questions when I need them, again thank you for your support.

No Problem. Happy editing! Marek.69 talk 20:36, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks also, dear Marek!

I was really impressed having got your kind message re my problem with the blockade of my URL realgems.org. Until today I've got only negative feedbacks from Wiki although I have made just one fault: adding too many links to my own URL (I didn't know that it's forbidden). I would like someone like you who still think and act as a "normal, human and fair" person, perhaps feeling free to have a look on my humble website and then do what you can to re-install at least those links from strangers who added their links to my URL on Wiki. Best, Mike Redberyl (talk) 21:35, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mike, I'll have a look and try to work out what the problem is. Cheers! Marek.69 talk 22:23, 28 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey !! Can You Make Me A Favor

Can you unblock me please !! i really like wikipedia and i love to give contributions... i was block because i didn't respect the policy of images, but that happened because i was new on this... so if an administrator unblock me i can use wikipedia free... and also respect your politics. Fckbaby (talk) 18:22, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Fckbaby, I had a look (at your block log) and it doesn't look like you are blocked, so maybe its all sorted already. I am not an administrator, so unfortunately I cannot perform 'unblocks', but I believe that if you put the following code on your talk page: {{unblock|type your reason here}} , with your reason for unblocking in the appropriate place, then an administrator should come to your assistance. Please let me know if you have any more problems and I will try to help. I wish you the Best of Luck. Marek.69 talk 19:22, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Question

Thanks for your nice welcome... I've got a rather specific question - how can I contact someone because of a moral question concerning a link in an article? Actually I'm German but due to discussions in a German bulletin board I got to know that in an article is a link to a video showing real murders. I don't think that something like this should be published on wikipedia as many children use it and are not aware of the likely impact such a video can have on them. This is NOT a question of information (policies), it's simply immoral and disgusting. Where can I get help? --Eileanna (talk) 22:59, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Eileanna, could you tell me where on Wikipedia this link is? Marek.69 talk 23:03, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This is the article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dnepropetrovsk_maniacs As you may know many teachers and parents trust wikipedia as a source of their children at school. Most children are allowed to surf wikipedia without observation by parents or teachers. So this link has to be removed, as I wrote on the article's discussion page, I do think that a simple description should do.
Eileanna, I have removed the link in question and will report the matter further. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. Marek.69 talk 23:11, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much! I'm really glad, thank you very, very much and I hope that this link will never be online again, at least not on wikipedia. Thank you, Marek, thank you so much! --Eileanna (talk) 23:15, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will attempt to get the link blocked. I'll let you know the outcome. Cheers. Marek.69 talk 23:18, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. :-) --Eileanna (talk) 23:20, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please put the link back. Wikipedia is not censored. Thank you, 2DC 23:25, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have put the link back. Wikipedia is not censored, and to quote another editor: "This isn't happy-sunshine-savethechildren-pedia", this is an encyclopedia. Thanks, 2DC 23:30, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
