Tiffany Evans (born August 4, 1992) is an African-American actress, singer and musician. She's most famous for her single "Promise Ring" featuring Ciara. Tiffany cites Faith Evans and Whitney Houston as her biggest influences.[citation needed]
Biography
Evans was born in the Bronx, New York and is the middle child of 10 children to Lonnie Evans and Carol Evans. In February 2003, on her fourth Star Search appearance, Evans won the Grand Champion title in the junior singer division, becoming the only performer in "Star Search" history to receive perfect five scores on all of her appearances. Evans competed against fellow singer Lisa Tucker, who would later appeared on American Idol. Tiffany has starred in an episode of Law and Order SVU, playing Blair Underwood's daughter. That same year, she sang for executives at Columbia Records and was quickly offered a deal. With her musical career already on the upswing, she landed a small role on CBS's "The District" and appeared in the 2005 film, Diary of a Mad Black Woman.
Music
Her album was on released April 22, 2008.[1] A song titled "Girl Gone Wild" produced by Timbaland and The Clutch was included on the mix cd Tape masters Inc. - The Future of R&B Volume 14.[citation needed]
Her first single "Promise Ring", featuring Ciara was featured as the "New Joint" on 106 & Park on July 24, 2007. The single has since made it on the countdown. To promote her debut album, she was featured on the Screamfest '07 tour. She has also appeared on an episode "Law and Order SVU" in 2007.
New album
Tiffany Evans is hard at work on her sophomore album, "Ponytail Krush", slated for release in early 2009.[citation needed] A recent transplant to the city of Atlanta, sixteen year old Evans describes this release as a coming of age project, which she calls an “emancipating experience.” “When I sat down with my manager and the record label, I told them I did not want to be limited in the type of songs I recorded this time around. I want to make music for every one. I describe this album like turning a radio dial and no matter what type of music the station plays, you can find a Tiffany Evans record on the playlist.”
In an effort to create a universal album, Tiffany Evans titled her new release “Ponytail Krush”. Evans went on to add "Anybody can wear a ponytail. No matter the age, male or female - ponytails are for everybody-just like my music is for everybody.”
