The Marshall Super Lead (Model 1959) is a guitar amplifier head made by Marshall. It was introduced in 1966. It featured 100W, two channels, and four inputs, running on KT66 Tubes and Two Output Transformers, In 1967 the EL34 single output transformer version was introduced, The circuit evolved adding more gain until It was discontinued in 1981. Although the JCM800 range had the 1959 with the same circuit as the later 1973 to 81 Super Leads until 1991, This model didn't sell as well as the 2203 and 2204 Master Volumes of the JCM800 range[1]

1959 SLP

The 1959 SLP (Super Lead Plexi) is a reissue of the plexi 1959 (its circuit is that of the later 1970s version with less Negative Feedback in the Circuit, producing more gain). It was introduced in 1992.

1959 HW

The 1959 HW (Hand-wired) was introduced in 2005. This version of the 1959 is the most popular version of the circuit from 1969, with more negative feedback thus less gain than the PCB reissue.
