The Next Thing is the upcoming fourth studio album from reggae artist, Sean Paul. The album is set to be released sometime in 2009.[1]

Background

The album was originally scheduled to be released in the summer of 2007[2] but then was pushed to November 2008[3]. It is now scheduled to be released in first quarter of 2009.

Sean Paul told MTV that he wants to be less focused on party songs such as Get Busy, We Be Burnin', and Temperature. He said he wants to focus on youth violence in Jamaica, in his lyrics.[2]

In a recent interview, Sean Paul confirmed that the song "Mama I Love You" will definately appear on the album.
