Andrew M. Warren is a U.S. government foreign service officer[citation needed] He is an alumnus of Norfolk State University (B.A.)[1], and is the author of The People of The Veil[2], and is currently accused of the rape of several women in Northern Africa.[3] [4]

The veracity of these reports notwithstanding, the accusations against Warren could have unfortunate consequences for the relations between the governments of the United States and Algeria.[5] Complication resulting from these accusations could also affect the security of American citizens and officials in the broader muslim world. The accusations may also force the U.S. government to re-evaluate its drift from hiring the graduates of elite, or well-known universities for foreign postings.[6]
