Stickam is a social networking website that features user-submitted pictures, audio, video, and most prominently, live webcam chat. Additionally, it allows users to embed their streaming webcam feeds into other web sites via a Flash player.[1] Stickam is operated by Advanced Video Communications, Inc., an Internet communications company founded in 2004.[2]
Due to the privacy concerns associated with webcam chat, Stickam requires users to state that they are at least 14 years old before signing up.
Widgets The whole idea of stickam is supported by its versatile widget, allowing it to be placed almost everywhere. Hence the name "Stick", meaning you can stick your streaming webcam feed on almost any website that permits the html code and/or supports the flash player. Myspace.com however does not support the code, although there are ways around that, you can use the contact us link on the stickam website to ask for an alternative code to paste into your profile.
