The Renegades are well known for their promotions. Notable promotions for 2008 included Baby Olympics, Bobblelection and One Night Stand. The Renegades also sport a "Fun Team" that entertains fans with between-inning games and promotions.
The majority owner is Marvin Goldklang who also owns a stake in five other minor league baseball teams throughout the country (Fort Myers Miracle, Sioux Falls Canaries, Charleston RiverDogs, Brockton Rox, and St. Paul Saints). Ex-manager, Matt Quatraro, coined the name Gades in 2000. Their mascots are raccoons named "Rookie", "Renee", and "Rascal".
