Gorikot is the largest Valley in the Astore District of Northern Areas of Pakistan,now home to most District government offices. The local name for the town is "Gué". The following are the small Villages associated with Gorikot Valley:

Gorikot is home to first Masters degree holder of Gilgit from Aligarh universityWazir Mohammad Ashraf,Wazir Mohammed Aflatoon Khan who represented Northern Areas in Majlis-e-Shoura Pakistan from 1984-1987, ,and other famous person is Iqbal Wazir,Credit Suise now in Switzerland.Famous surgeon Sikindar also has maternal linage to this town
