Passu is a small village beside the Khunjerab river, some 15km from Gulmit, the Tehsil Headquarter of Gojal in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The famous Batura glacier is situated here, beside the Karakoram Highway. The people are Wakhi and speak the Wakhi Language. Religiously they are Ismaili, a sect of Islam.
