Mike Wozniak (born 8 November 1979) is a mustachioed stand-up comedian of Polish descent.
Early life
Mike Wozniak was raised in Portsmouth by 'science parents'. [1] His father, an amateur Polish scientist, played a great role in his formative years. In some ways he was like a father figure to him. He has an identical twin sister [2] She is identical in every way, except that Mike is half Polish and she is half Welsh.
Medical Career
Mike Wozniak MBBS MRCP was a successful and respected elderly care Doctor, working in the London region. It is said that his transformation from geriatrician to gagmeister was prompted by the unexpected growth of a luxurious bushy moustache. Unfortunately the tache made him look untrustworthy, it upset the old ladies - particularly when it tickled them. Either he or his tache had to go. His colleagues gave 'Magnum MD' time to notice the problem that was just under his nose; but to no avail. Medicine's loss was comedy's gain.
Stand-up
Mike is the kind of stand-up that wont take dying on his arse, lying down: this much is clear. After an early career in comedy troupes including Edinburgh fringe visits (2000, 2001) he debuted his solo show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, August 2008. Nominated for the if.comedy best newcomer award,[3] missing out to the excellent Sarah Millican, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarah_Millican Mike Wozniak triumphed over 500 aspiring comedians to win the Amused Moose Laugh Off 2008.
He has recently been wintering down-under and wowing Australians at the Adelaide fringe playing on the Best of the Edinburgh Fest showcase alongside Jarlath Regan and Jason Cook.
He returns to the Edinburgh festival with his second solo show 'Clown shoes' August 3rd-31st, Show at 6pm, Pleasance Below with Mick Perrin and Just for Laughs Live Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).

Awards
Richard Herring [5] stamped Wozniak with approval on his blog, admitting to being "in pain from laughing at … material about penile mishaps that even surprised me after all my time studying the subject". [6]
