2nd II None was a rap group from Compton, California. It consisted of cousins KK (born Kai McDonald) and Gangsta D (born Darius Barnett).
History
Early years
Before becoming rappers, the two musicians were (and still are) members of the Bloods.Their career started in 1987, when they were signed to Profile Records along with DJ Quik, after the release of The Red Tape. They released their first album in 1991, the self-titled 2nd II None on Profile Records. Their second album, Classic 220 on Arista Records, came eight full years after their debut. Their albums were mainly produced by childhood friend and rapper/producer DJ Quik. In 2008, their 1994 unreleased album Tha Shit was leaked on the internet.
