I agree with both statements. This map is dated and should be replaced with another which reflects present understandings.

:The han populations in inner mongolia and xinjiang are mostly confined to the cities, while the more indigenous groups are rural. It's similar to [[File:2008_General_Election_Results_by_County.PNG]], where the smaller population covers a greater geographical area due to the larger population being urban.
