Mountain's Edge, Nevada is a newer master plan community in Las Vegas in Clark County. Ground broke on the community in February 2004 and as of 2009 it was home to approximately 10,000 residents and has a 10 years projected build out of over 12,000 units on 35000 acers built into two 1,500 aces phase of homes.Currently 670 acres has been set aside for public facilities including 550 acres for parks alone .Mountain's Edge is planned to have all of the modern convienences, but with the look of the old southwest. When fully build out Mountain's Edge, Nevada will be home five fire stations,medical offices,Large shopping centers,open space,resturants, and a total of 7 schools .



Geography

Nestled against the rugged foothills The community is located at Blue Diamond Road (Highway 160) and Buffalo Drive. The area is located less than five miles from I-215 and 20 minutes from McCarran International Airport. Mountains Edge is served by Interstates 15, 215 and 515 and several other major roadways.Mountain's Edge, Nevada is a beautiful masterplanned community located in southwest Las Vegas .

Mountain's Edge Parks

Exploration Peak is the city's first mountain park, trails were constructed that lead up to the top of 2,846-foot Exploration Peak. The series of hiking trails were designed for people of all ages, it include ramadas at two different stages. Exploration Peak is part of Exploration Park and is one of five parks plan for this community.Mountain’s Edge Master home Association has a partnership with Clark County at Exploration Peak Park which includes a Water park, Children’s Play Area, Horseshoes, Volleyball and walking trails.The Sub Home Associations within the Community have Parks, Pools, Club Houses .



Mountain's Edge Schools

Mountain's Edge, Nevada master plan for schools when it buildout will have Four Elementary schools,two middle schools ,High school.Currently Wright Elementary School open first in 2006 and two years later in fall of 2008 the second school, Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School, opened. These schools are part of the Clark County School District. High school students residing in Mountain's Edge are zoned to attend Desert Oasis High School until there is enough high school age students in Mountain Edge.The master plan community education system will be completed with a high school called Mountain Edge high school and will break ground when there have enough students and neighborhood are fully buildout.


Mountain's Edge Shopping

Cimarron Square was a $17 million boutique neighborhood shopping center development.The project was completed by the first quarter of 2008 and tenants to move in March 2008 and has nearly 40,000 square feet of retail space. Tenants include Inaka Sushi, Papa John's Pizza, Nevada State Bank, Star Brite Cleaners, Java Detour, Nail Trix Salon ,subway,and Pacific Dental Services.This is the first retail area to directly serve the Mountain's Edge community.

Mountain's Edge Builders

Mountain Edge will have total of 20 homebuilders that will include DR Horton, Concordia, US Home, Toll Bros, Lennar, Beazer, Woodside, KB Home, Pardee and Meritage/Perma-Built.
