I thought I wrote Bill in the first place, so Bob was a typo/mistake. The name issue was discussed at the talk page. I've attended lectures with Bill Blair, so I know he's not called William in daily use any more than Tony Blair is called Anthony. IP addresses change regularly, and I can't do anything about that. I prefer to edit as an anonymous rather than as a registered user, and that is also perfectly alright. There is a strong tradition at this project, or at least used to be, not to discriminate against anonymous users as opposed to those who use an account. 158.143.166.124 (talk) 17:44, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Comment on blocks

(The following comment was made after User:Darwinek was blocked for edit warring, also note the comment that his admin privileges had been removed on a previous occasion for similar conduct - "has displayed a pattern of poor judgment in performing administrative actions, including blocking users (...) with whom he was engaged in a dispute, and improperly move-protecting articles to enforce a title preference" and "has engaged in incivil behavior and personal attacks"):

I think it's fair that the block was undone and both I and User:Darwinek were blocked by a third party, as we both were in violation of 3RR. I only created the account User:U158, which I made clear was me, in order to report this issue and in order to ensure that User:Darwinek was not able to enforce his POV by abusively blocking me, his opponent in an edit war over content and NPOV. A user who has been blocked for such conduct should not remain an admin. I will consider what to do in this regard when the block expires.
