==The Guitar==
After the passing of Shannon's best friend Louie "the Lip", Katie bought Shannon an Ebony Epiphone 335, custom built to suit Shannon's playing style. The obvious differences between a regular 335 and the Blacklip Custom (now dubbed "Louie") is a Bigsby B7 vibrato factory fitted and custom pickups which appear to be Seymour Duncan pickups, however which model is still unknown.

Shannons' guitar collection over the years has included a Cort Atisan 5 string bass (stolen), an Ibanez bass (destroyed during a concert in Michigan), a customised Charvelle (unknown model) and a guitar hand made by his neighbour "Bobby Dazzler" to his exact specifications. Shannon has typically played through a vintage Vase amplifier, moving over to Laney after striking a deal with them to let him use their Bass Amplifiers (this deal was to allow Shannon to use them - previously he had been considered too awful to be seen using a quality amp, and more recently has struck a deal with Fender Amplifiers (much the same terms as the Laney deal).
