Jack McElhone (1993-2009) was a Scottish actor. He was famous for his role as Frankie in the 2004 film Dear Frankie, for which he was nominated for a BAFTA Scotland Award. He also had roles in Young Adam, The Book Group, Stacked and the Hovis advert. He died on 22 August 2009 from a severe case of swine flu which was untreatable after the many doses of Tamiflu which he was given, when he was on holiday in Fucking, Austria.
