Hristo Yanev (Bulgarian: Христо Янев) (born May 4, 1979 in Kazanluk) is a Bulgarian football player, currently playing for PFC Litex Lovech.

For Bulgaria national football team, Yanev was capped 8 times, scoring 3 goals.

Career

Hristo Yanev is CSKA Sofia ex-player. He joined the CSKA team in 2000 from Beroe Stara Zagora, when he was only 20 years old and since then he has always played an important role in the team. Yanev plays either as a winger or forward. As a player of CSKA he has been twice champion of Bulgaria (in 2003 and 2005) and has once won the Bulgarian national cup 2006.

In summer of 2006, Grenoble Foot 38 signed Yanev to a three-year deal for a € 700,000. For three years he made 60 appearances in all competitions and scored six goals for Grenoble. With the club he played two seasons in Ligue 2 and one in Ligue 1.

On 25 June 2009, Yanev returned to Bulgaria and signed three-year contract with Litex Lovech.
