The two of them have always been competitors, and now they are fighting about who has more rights to investigate. After Coreen informs her that she thinks that the murderer is non other than a vampire, she starts something she calls ″hunting″, although she does not believe in supernatural. The killer is taking more victims, and when she accidentally on one crime scene, she sees the killer turning into the dark and disappears. Because of her bad sight, she is sure that it was illusion, and when she turns to body, she sees a man in black next to the body, and tries to scream, but he punches her into the head, and she faints. She wakes up in unknown apartment, while the man in black is searching her purse for some ID. She talks to him, and discovers that he is not a killer, although he is searching for him. He tells her that the killer is Demon, that she actually did saw him disappears and that he has an ancient book Grimoire that should help them. She also finds out that the stranger is Henry Fitzroy, romance writer, and finally, a 450-year-old vampire. Surprisingly, she believes him. The two of them are making a deal to catch the Demon and the man who is calling him. Her RP makes her useless at night, so that’s Henry’s time for investigation, and he can’t go out on the sun because he is a vampire, so she will investigate when it’s day time. The two of them are finding out that the murders are ritual, and that each of them should call one of the Demon’s names, and that he should get material goods to man who is calling him, for the price of blood. Henry also confess her that he is a bastard son of Henry VIII, and that he is actually Duke of Richmond, who fell in love with the vampire Christina, who turned him to vampire. When Henry is attacked, and Grimoire stolen, Vicki founds him almost dead in his apartment, and realises that he needs to feed to stay alive, and heal, so she gives him to drink from her wrist. That makes a bond between them, which means that now she is a part of him. While the investigation goes on, Vicki discovers that the Demon was called by a college student, Norman Birdwell, who is currently a new friend of Coreen. She shares all information with Mike, but he does not believe her. When Coreen finds out what is Norman doing, she takes Vicki to his place. He kidnaps two of them, willing to sacrifice Vicki’s blood to call a new, more powerful Demon, Astaroth, who wants to bring a hell to the Earth. Henry arrives on time to save Vicki and Coreen. In the same time, a new Demon is trying to trick all of them, and gain them to serve to him. All together, the three of them are defeating him, and Mike Selluci, who has been looking for Vicki too, arrives just in time to see Henry’s vampire powers and Demon he fights with. Vicki, who almost bleeds to death, ends up in hospital, getting few blood transfusions. Mike comes to inform her about his police report, which has no mention of Demon and Henry. Later, when the night falls, Henry is coming to visit her, and the two of them agree to have a date when she goes out.
