Chris Tutton is an English poet, musician, songwriter, playwright and performer.
He is well known for his idiosyncratic combination of the profound and the profane.

Performance

He is a regular guest at Literature Festivals across the country, including the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Manchester, Cheltenham, Birmingham,Dartington; Ways with Words etc and performs at theatres (including The Lyric, Hammersmith, Riverside Studios, Oldham Coliseum) arts centres and libraries throughout the UK.
He is a popular compere and host and in 2006 launched Westwords (London's largest literature festival) at the BBC, White City and has for several years hosted the Harrow Artsfest. He runs both writing and performance workshops and masterclasses, and has worked in partnership with the London Libraries Development Agency and the BBC RAW project.
He appears regularly on radio and television, including BBC Radios 4 (Loose Ends) 5 (Nationwide) and 1 (Mark Radcliffe). He was poet in residence on Carlton Television Shift 1996, Warehouse and FYI and is currently poet in residence at Warminster Library, 2009-2010.
