Broadheath is a suburb of Altrincham in Greater Manchester, England. It is historically part of the county of Cheshire and has a Warrington postcode.

Broadheath is part of Trafford Metropolitan Borough of Greater Manchester. The ward of Broadheath has three out of sixty three seats on Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council, and as of the 2008 local elections all 3 seats were held by the Conservatives.[1]

Labour won 30.3% of the vote, Liberal Democrats 21.7% and the United Kingdom Independence Party 1.7%.[5] This is one of only a small number of seats in the north-west held by the Conservative Party, and the only one in Greater Manchester.

Transport

Broadheath railway station served the district between 1853 and closure in 1962. Passenger trains ran from Manchester via Sale to Broadheath and on to Lymm and Warrington.
