A book written by Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay Richards, entitled "The Privileged Planet: How Our Place in the Cosmos is Designed for Discovery". A one hour video was also created titled "The Privileged Planet". The book and the video attempt to rationalize intelligent design by misrepresenting scientific findings.

Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay Richards claim that the Earth is optimum for seeing and understanding the universe. They also postulate that the laws of physics and mathematics were made easy to understand for humans.

The video (which aired on some public broadcast stations) has a scientific air in the beginning, and steadily becomes more and more supposation. The narrator mentions of a possible creator of the universe. At the end of the video, the video meantions the creator as 'God'.
