Polus Center Cluj represents a state-of-the-art urban concept. It is the largest Romanian multifunctional complex built on a single level as well as the largest commercial centre in Transylvania. It took 15 months to build Polus Center during which six thousand years of history emerged, as the builders found, amongst others, the sumptous tomb of a Gepide princess and another of two young lovers, dating 3.300 years ago. For nine months the construction site was also the biggest archaelogical site in Romania. Once completed Polus Center offered its visitors one of the best brands combinations in the country. With a total leasable surface of over 60,000 square meters, Polus hosts brands such as Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Aldo, InMedio, Intersport, Piazza Italia, Kenvelo, New Yorker, Media Galaxy, Sony, Accessorize, Debenhams, Marks&Spencer as well as an 8,000 square meters Carrefour hypermarket and a pet-shop. Amongst the unique entertainment opportunities we would like to mention the most competitive paintball court in Romania and the unique skating rink opened 365 days/year. Those who wish to relax and spend time with their family and friends can choose between one of the eight cinema halls in Odeon Cineplex. At Polus Center they can also find a karting circuit as well as a football pitch. Children will never get bored in Polus because they can choose between the biggest playground in town "Happy Park" , "Play Park" an ultramodern play space and "Happy Village", a place where children and grwon-ups can enjoy lots of fun games. Being located in the second largest financial and banking center in Romania, Polus has no less than six bank agencies as well as Romanian Post Office. The most pretentious culinary tastes can be satisfied in the food-court area of Polus Center. Large international chains such as McDonald`s, KFC or Pizza Hut are of course present. Since its inauguration in October 2007, Polus Center hosted many events of local and International interest such as The International Outdoor Cooking Championship, The "King of Europe" drifting competition, the Ursus Alcohol Free off-road competition, a Parov Stelar concert and many others.
