"flavored beer" is a legal designation that does not mean there is actually any beer in it, just as "malt liquor" is a mostly antiquated legal designation that does not mean the product is actually liquor. All the terms refer to is the alcohol strength, for jurisdictions which regulate the labelling and strength of beverages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.49.119.59 (talk) 19:30, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

It's not vodka. It's flavorless cheap malt liquor with lemon flavor. And yes it is disgusting. 75.101.11.171 (talk) 06:07, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Watermelon

I am told that in some markets there is also a watermelon flavor. Chris 17:19, 3 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Alcohol percentage

I've noticed down in the US, Hard Lemonade was actually 3.5% alcohol. While Canadian Hard Lemonade is actually 7%. Can anyone confirm this? I guess this applies to all other alcohol-related drinks anyways. Canada usually has a higher percentage of alcohol than down in the US. Please correct me if I'm wrong. in washington state, mikes hard crisp apple is 5% alcohol. in states like oklahoma, with their retarded alcohol laws, its prolly 3.5%. i should hop the border and get me summa dat 7% stuff! -Lordraydens 20:45, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yeah it is 7 in canada 65.87.247.100 20:18, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wish they would package it in packs of 6 instead of 4...4 aren't enough and 8 are too many. 6 would be perfect

Mike's Hard Lime = 69%? I hope there is a decimal point missing otherwise that is some really hard malt beverage.

Beer

Can somebody confirm that it's really malt liquor and lemonade mixed to make Mike's? That seems really odd, and disgusting; I always thought it was vodka. Stonesour025 07:54, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well I'll be damned.. I just saw it on the bottle "Flavored Beer". Sounds like a weird combo but I like it ;) 209.162.41.225 10:45, 17 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Most of these malt beverages/flavored beers are made with beer that doesn't have hops in it, which is what gives beer its bitter taste. Without hops, beer doesn't taste a whole lot like anything (it's just fermented grain and water at that point, and I'm sure the malternatives use grains without much flavor). Easy to cover with whatever flavor the beverage is supposed to be. 76.21.142.220 22:24, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Crisp Apple flavor

This page says Mike's Hard Crisp Apple is discontinued, but I just purchased a 6pk of it on 6/23/07. It was the last one, but it still seems to be available in Virginia

8-31-2007- my local beer store in Fairless Hills, PA has nearly a dozen boxes of this flavor, and workers there don't recall it being discontinued. Any confirmation on whther it is or isn't? --JT706 23:58, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind- I emailed the company itself- they confirmed the flavor has been discontinued. I'll be stocking up while I can. JT706 07:30, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Canadian version has vodka, but they use malt in the US

Vandalism

Someone please take a look at that first paragraph starting with '...which in the United States is a mixture of...'. I don't have the proper information to fix it myself. Tnx.

The error has been fixed, so you can stop looking. Thanks again. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.99.35.233 (talk) 23:52, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To Catch a Predator

I was wondering (in all seriousness) whether or not we should make some mention of the fact that so many men busted on TCAP seem to bring this particular drink with them??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.97.250.112 (talk) 21:15, 30 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
