A cat lady is a woman, usually a spinster,[1] who dotes upon her cat.[2] The term is sometimes used in a pejorative sense, i.e. "crazy cat lady",[3] to denote an animal hoarder who keeps large numbers of cats without having the ability to properly house or care for them.[4]
