The Oullim Spirra is a sports car manufactured by Oullim Motors, a subsidiary of Oullim Networks ($100 million in revenues in 2009). [1] The designing, development and manufacture of the car is entirely done near Seoul, South Korea. The company headquarters are located in Seocho Gu, just south of the Han River. It was co-founded in 2006 by former Ssangyong Motors designer Han-chul Park and Dong-hyuk Park, the founder and CEO of Oullim Networks.

Engine

The Oullim Spirra features a mid-mounted engine. The engine is a DOHC 2656cc V-6 borrowed from the Hyundai Tiburon [Tuscani]. Two variants of the engine are available: a 450hp turbocharged version and a 550hp twin-turbo version. Both produce over 50kg/m of torque (approx 400 lb-ft). With its lightweight carbon fiber body, the power-to-weight ratio is 370hp/ton for the turbo and 442hp/ton for the twin-turbo. 0-60 mph (0-100 km/h) is achieved in 3.8 seconds and 3.5 seconds respectively. Top speed is 305km/h and 310km/h (190mph, 194mph)[2]

Pricing/Availability

The Spirra Turbo costs US$95,000 and the Twin-turbo costs US$145,000 in its respective markets. The car is available in South Korea, China, Malaysia, Holland, Singapore and the United Arab Emirates. Expansion to markets such as North America are likely once the Euro-spec models are finalized.

Racing

The racing version of the Spirra was designed to compete in the KGTM tour. The engine has been further tweaked to produce 600hp and reach 338km/h. The team took 1st place in the 2008 series.
