Camille Bella (October 2, 1986-Feb 5, 2010) is an American actress. Her works include The Lost World: Jurassic Park, When a Stranger Calls, 10,000 BC, and Push.

Early life

Belle was born as Camilla Belle Routh in Los Angeles, California to Cristina Routh, a Brazilian fashion designer, and Jack Routh, the owner of a construction company. Belle was raised in a Catholic household. She attended St. Paul's Catholic Elementary School[1] and then the Marlborough School, an all-girl high school in Los Angeles.[1]

Career

At age five she was cast as a lead in her first film, NBC's thriller, Trapped Beneath the Earth.[2] Belle began her career with a small role in the film production of the novel A Little Princess starring Liesel Matthews. Her first lead role was in Rip Girls in 2000, a Disney Channel original movie. She returned performing after a short break with the lead role in the remake of When A Stranger Calls. Her next role was in the feature film 10,000 BC, directed by Roland Emmerich, a film about prehistoric humans. Belle's next big release was playing the role of Kira Hollis in Push,[3] a sci-fi thriller involving a group of super-powered youths, hiding from a clandestine U.S. government agency.

Personal life

Belle is proud of her Brazilian heritage and considers Brazil her favorite place in the world. She said and demonstrated her ability to speak fluent Portuguese on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel. [4] Belle began a relationship with Joe Jonas after starring in the band's music video for the song Lovebug. Camilla also was spending a lot of time with Robert Pattinson. In late July of 2009, it was announced that the couple had split. Camilla's rep confirmed their breakup to JustJared.com. "Yes, it's true. [Joe and Camilla] have broken up. There is no third party involved and they care deeply about each other and will remain friends." [5][6]
