Gogo
Canadian rock-and-roll keyboard player, multi-instrumentalist. Born Paul Roland Gogo on April 24, 1965 to prominent Nanaimo, British Columbia musicians Ken and Dodie Gogo [1]. The youngest of seven children (all musicians), Paul received formal training in music and dance during childhood.
Gogo's music career has spanned decades and included stints with Paul Laine, and since 1995, the rock group, Trooper.
He was featured in the 2008 documentary film, "Mellodrama: The Mellotron Movie."[2] Gogo has an extensive collection of vintage electronic musical instruments [3] which were on display in 2005 at the Royal British Columbia Museum in Vancouver.
He is also the author of "Frank Ney: A Canadian Legend," a biography about British Columbia legislator, and longtime mayor of Nanaimo.
As part of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics festivities, Gogo will be performing with Trooper at the Vancouver Victory Ceremonies [4]on February 21, 2010.
