Below is a list of well-known Armenian economists.
- Artashes Arakelian (1909-1993) Economist, Armenian Science Academy Member (1960). Chaired the Regional Planning Division of NKAO, a researcher at Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics. He headed the Economy Institute of Armenian Science Academy and authored numerous researches.
- Ken Hachikian is an Armenian-American economist.He worked for 9 years with The Boston Consulting Group, advising Fortune 1000 companies on corporate, financial and operational strategies. From 1991 to 1994, Mr. Hachikian served as President of LINC Scientific Leasing, Inc., and, from 1983 to 1989, as President and CEO of Wellesley Medical Management, Inc. He is the Board Chairman of the Cambridge Heart, Inc.
- Gérard Kebabdjian is a French Armenian economist, author of the books Europe et globalisation, The international object in the economic theory.
- Gevond Shakarian (1900-1961) Economist, PhD, professor, worked at State Planning Department, headed the Economics Chair of Yerevan State University, was the dean of the Economics Department, authored a number of researches.
