Marcello Guido (born 1 January 1953, Acri, Cosenza, Italy) is an Italian deconstructivist architect based in Cosenza, (Calabria)^[1]^[2]^[3]. He trained as an architect at the Faculty of Architecture of La Sapienza University, Rome^[4]^[5]. He is a highly-regarded student of Bruno Zevi^[6]^[7], featured in numerous Italian architectural books^[8]^[9] and journals^[10]. He is president of the Istituto Nazionale di Architettura (InArch) Calabria section^[11].

He is regarded as an authority on the integration of contemporary architecture in the setting of Italy's historic city centres^[12]^[13]. His Piazza Toscana archaeological site project^[14] in Cosenza was awarded the Dedalo Minosse Prize (Dedalo Minosse International Prize for Italian Architecture) Special Prize in 2002^[15]. The dynamisim of its concept has been favourably compared with that of the corkscrew lantern on the dome of Borromini's Sant'Ivo alla Sapienza^[16] .

His work, representative of the deconstructivist style of architecture in Italy^[17]^[18], is the subject of Cesare De Sessa^[19]'s monograph "Marcello Guido, L'impegno nella trasgressione" ("Marcello Guido, Commitment in Transgression")^[20] ^[21].
