Mohammed Abdul Hai Zahid is a researcher in computer science. He had his PhD in computer science and engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) in the year 2007[1].

Zahid was awareded IBM Best PhD student 2006[2][3][4] by IBM for his contributions in the field of computational phylogenetic. Before joining Samsung Electronics Head Quarters in South Korea as a Researcher he worked as Assistant professor at Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata.

He contributed several good research papers in the area of computational phylogenetic, specially the application of machine learning algorithms for phylogenetic studies. He is a member of editorial board of Bioinformatics and Biology Insights[5] and reviewer for many other research journals in computer science.

He started Inspire 'n' Ignite, a blog to help and guide engineering students in India to be ambitious and focused. He usually write about admissions to Top Engineering colleges, Rankings, Admission and interview tips focusing on IITs and NITs, PhD Guide, Seminar and paper presentation topics.
