=="Appearances"==
I get the motivation behind having a discussion of the character's development through the seasons, under the "Appearances" heading. This seems to encourage some needless repetition, where some character traits are discussed in one section and again under the "Appearances" heading. As Bones is the title character, it doesn't seem useful to track her specific appearances, and the specific character revelations and developments discussed here could be folded into other sections as appropriate. 15 February 2010 [[User:Writingjen|writingjen]] ([[User talk:Writingjen|talk]]) Jennifer Spirko

Picture: Can we TRY to keep it this time?!

Can we try our best to keep the image i've put on this page. It needs one but it keeps getting deleted. If it says it may get deleted, delete the warning and add something that may save it.

  • Edited to change the link from "Ultimate Fighter" (a video game) to "Ultimate Fighting" (the sport Booth participated in on their trip to Vegas). 10/15/08

Asperger's???

If I am not mistaken, doesn't TB have asperger's syndrome??? --Miagirljmw14 Miagirljmw~talk 22:39, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • While I would agree that it's very likely (and this is coming from some1 w/ Asperger's), wikipedia has a strict policy against speculation which, unless mentioned in the show, this is.  :-/ --24.6.50.133 (talk) 03:55, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I don't like most speculation like this, like the idea House has Asperger's, but in this case that does kind of make sense. Although I think the statement that she's similar to someone with Asperger's is in it, as there's a source, and that's probably as far as it needs to go.--T. • the cited source does not actually mention Asperger's syndrome at all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.35.163.219 (talk) 05:40, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Temperance "Bones" Brennan

I propose the title be moved from Temperance Brennan (Bones) to Temperance "Bones" Brennan, since she is often referred to as this in promotional material and reviews, and since the series title specifically refers to this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.203.119.71 (talk) 02:53, 24 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gun-toting Anthropologist?

There should be some explanation within the "Characterization" section about when and why Bones started carrying what looks to be a large, 45-caliber pistol. I've been watching re-runs recently but they're jumping all over the place so I haven't seen the proper sequencing of if and when she was trained and authorized to carry such a large firearm. Further, it just seems obtuse that her detached, misanthropic character who works to solve murders would be so quick now to want to kill others, albeit criminal suspects.

In the first season she comes off as an unlikely Judo expert, and at some point in the second season evolves to "carrying". Her character doesn't even appear to have been trained properly to wield a weapon and it's not clear why Booth, a highly trained FBI special agent, would tolerate her pointing a weapon during an approach-situation, especially with her behind him where he's more vulnerable to her friendly fire. Again, this is a significant element of her character and should be explained by those with the story detail at hand. Illudium-Q36 (talk) 02:09, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

For what it's worth, Bones wanted to carry a gun as early as "A Man on Death Row" which was meant to be the fourth episode of season one, and shown as the seventh episode. —MJBurrage(TC) 23:15, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
