This academy of technical education took its foundation stone on the 10th November 2000. Since then, it is stretching its excellence towards greater heights by each passing time capsule. As in the first session, there were two branches viz., CSE and ECE filling total 120 seats, with the solidity of roots, in the session 2002-2003, the college took its first extension, with introduction of four new branches and intake increasing to 390. At present the college provides PG courses degree in MBA & MCA, UG courses BCA and BBA along with BE degree in Six Branches - CSE, ECE, EE, IT, ME & EIC with the total intake of 390 students.
ECB is located across 337 acres of land acquired on Pugal Road, Karni Industrial Area, Bikaner ,which is one amongst most widely spread institutions in Rajasthan. Total built area is more than 200,000 sqft. Some of the construction work was done by:

- Centre for Electronic Governance
- College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner
It is conducting B.Tech (used to be BE) courses in Electronics & Communication, Electronics Ins. and Control, Computer Science, IT, Mechanical and Electrical. Other courses includes MBA, MCA, DOEACC, BCA, etc.
Communities
- LUGB. Linux Users Group Bikaner, is an unofficial student driven GNU/Linux User Community at ECB. LUGB organises community driven workshops , talks and encourages the use of Free and Open Source Software within and outside the campus.
