Mr Boo Hian Kok gave a assembly talk someday in febuaray. Ironically, he told us off for wasting time when we took our time q-ing up for assembly, and that would take away our time for lesson. Our lesson and he started talking at 8. He ended his speech at 820.

Dunearn Secondary School is a government secondary school in Singapore. It is located in Bukit Batok in western Singapore.

The school was established at Dunearn Road in 1962 as Dunearn Chinese Middle School, and merged with the neighbouring Dunearn Vocational School in 1969. It moved from Dunearn Road to its present location in 1993.

The current principal is Mr. Boo Hian Kok, who served Dunearn Secondary School from 15 December 2009 until present day. The current vice-principal is Mrs. Sundram, who served Dunearn Secondary School from 2008 until present day.

1962
Dunearn Chinese Middle School Started Off at 35 HillCrest Road.

1969
Merged with the neighbouring Dunearn Vocational School.

1980
3 year Pre-University course was Started, offering Arts & Commerce Subjects.

1986
The Chinese Stream was Phased Out.

1993
Dunearn moved to its Present Location at 21 Bukit Batok West Avenue 2, Singapore 659 204.

2001
Dunearn celebrated its 40TH Anniversary with programmes such as the Gala Dinner & Dance.

2003
Dunearn was Ranked 48TH in the GCE 'O' Level Examination 2002. Dunearnites welcomes our new Vice-Principal, Mrs. Lee Wai Ling, in June. Dunearn awarded Hibiscus Intermediate for Schools' Green Audit Award. Dunearn received Cherish Award. Dunearn welcome the arrival of our new Principal, Mr Wong Lok Oon, in December. Dunearn Military Band staged performance at the Esplanade Theater.

2004
Dunearn awarded Orchid Advanced for Schools' Green Audit Award. Dunearn received Cherish Award. NCC & Scouts received First Sustained Achievement Award (Uniformed Group).

2005
Our Star Achiever, Anthony Chua Jia Jun, obtained 7 A1s in GCE 'O' Levels 2004. NCC & Scouts received Second Sustained Achievement Award (Uniformed Group). Our very own Table Tennis Star, Zhang Wen, of Secondary 5N1 came in Second in the Nationals Under-20 Table Tennis Girls Championship in 2005. Dunearn Military Band awarded Gold for 2005 SYF Central Judging. Choir, Guzheng and Malay Dance awarded Silver for 2005 SYF Central Judging. Ex-Dunearnite, Kelvin Tan Wei Lian, crowned Project SuperStar Winner.
