Hello - I am an administrator and, come 1st January 2010, an [[WP:ARBCOM|arbitrator]] here on the English Wikipedia. In real-life, my name is Fred Pollard and I am a [[PhD]] student at the [[University of Bath]], where I am completing studies in an engineering related field. I'm around 25 at the time of writing, have no pets, and when not sitting at a desk behind a computer I prefer to...sit behind a desk and do [[calligraphy]] instead. |

I have enjoyed my time at Wikipedia, but for personal reasons I must move on. Apologies to those who were relying on me for certain matters - I assure you there's a wealth of talent out there who can help you. I will not be returning in any guise to editing here - good luck completing the encyclopedia, and good luck in getting our governance into shape. |

I am the operator of a bot [[User:FritzpollBot]] which was recently approved for a 100-edit trial run. The bot, if approved, will create a stub article on every town and village that does not have an article. That is, the intention of the bot is to complete the geographical coverage of settlements within Wikipedia, at least as stubs. The idea was presented by, and detailed by [[User:Blofeld of SPECTRE]] and [[User:Editorofthewiki]] - I am just the monkey who translated their ideas into code: really, this is '''their''' bot. |
