Generation Kill is a 2008 HBO television miniseries based on the book of the same name by Evan Wright and adapted for television by David Simon and Ed Burns. The series follows the Marines of the 1st Recon Battalion through the first four weeks of the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The characters are drawn from this group of Marines.
