In 1991, he moved to the North Sydney Bears and played for them until 1994. In 1995, he ended his career with the South Queensland Crushers, playing his final games. He makes regular appearances on the footy show. Mario had a truly remarkable career and be remembered as a South Sydney Legend and a great player. Since retiring Mario has also represented Malta in a rugby league sevens tournament[1].
Post-rugby league career
Since Mario retired from football he has been involved in the entertainment industry. In 2001 his book What's Doing? was published.
