3d Special Operations Squadron (3 SOS) flies MQ-1 Predator Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and is currently stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in Clovis, New Mexico. The 3 SOS is under the command of the Air Force Special Operations Command.

Reactivated on October 28, 2005, at Creech Air Force Base. It has since been moved to Cannon Air Force Base.
