AfD edits

For inclusion in the AfD stats, your keep or delete keywords need to be specially formatted. I'm not sure EXACTLY what's needed, but *xxx works (*, then the word bolded with 3 apostrophes). Took me a couple of days to figure that out!--David V Houston (talk) 17:55, 15 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're welcome. Emily Jensen (talk) 05:04, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That wasn't vandalism.

It was a message to those sand niggers. Vandalism would be on the article. Mine was in the discussion box. I was discussing the appropriate usage of a Hydrogen Bomb, more specifically, I was discussing the usage of such a weapon on an Islamic shit stain.

You going to censor like they do, too? Are you a Muslim? Is Wikipedia based in Libya? These are the questions one must ask. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.204.195.21 (talkcontribs) 04:42, 23 April 2010

The use of Wikipedia talk pages, including my own, for the purpose of proselytizing your violent, racist, genocidal theology is unwelcome. In response to your questions, I'm an American Wiccan, and the Wikimedia Foundation is based in San Francisco, California. Please watch your mouth, or go away. 91.8 The Fan Interviews

After reading the warning concerning the link I posted on (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doug_Erholtz) concerning this interview (http://918thefan.com/2010/kanas-korner-interview-with-doug-erholtz/), and I am confused. Clearly listed here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:External_links#What_should_be_linked) under three clearly states that interviews are acceptable. The Wikipedia page in question has several other linked interviews, and considering that the site we’re linking to in question sat down with said person for roughly an hour isn’t informative? They also confirm and deny several roles that they were in, thus educating fans of said individual. I would assume this is valuable information, but it appears that this is not educational under Wikipedia standards? Please enlighten me because I believe there is some confusion about equality in terms of what can and what cannot be posted. 91.8 The Fan is not a fan site, they are a corporation, thus do not make any profits from said interviews. After checking, all the interview links we've posted have been deleted. We feel they have been deleted in error, and would like a more clear explanation about why we cannot link our interviews on Wikipedia for the benefit of the fans and knowledge they bestow in said interviews. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris918TheFan (talkcontribs) 23:20, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're adding an extremely large number of links to your own website. This is a blatant conflict of interest. If the interviews are valuable, then independent editors will add links to them. Emily Jensen (talk) 23:22, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is some confusion here. The three people adding these links are volunteers/fans, and are not under 91.8 The Fan payroll. It should also be noted that researching a bit more carefully with the Wiki: Anime & Manga Project, it directly encourages interview links with voice actors. The quote is as follows:

“Creation and conception/Development Out-of-universe information about the creation process, including influences upon the creators. Differences between adaptations, both between media and during translation, and between sequels would also be discussed here. The best sources of information are interviews and critical analysis; be especially careful of original research here. Use a title appropriate for your section's actual contents.” --- Source http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style_%28anime-_and_manga-related_articles%29 We’re not attempting to cause trouble, but it seems that this site 91.8 The Fan is the largest collection of voice actor interviews which are very hard and rare to come by. Is it possible to add these at a slower pace to let them remain? I’m unaware of the conflict here as it seems to be the only way fans who cannot attend conventions or are international can listen to their favorite voice actors. Out of curiosity is this not a valuable piece of information, yes or no? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris918TheFan (talkcontribs) 23:28, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for breaking your page, I'm unaware of why it did that, it definitely was not my intention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris918TheFan (talkcontribs) 23:33, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The addition of an extremely large number of links by editors whose sole activities on Wikipedia are to add links creates the appearance of a conflict of interest and/or linkspamming. This activity must cease immediately, or I will have all such accounts blocked. If necessary, your website can be added to MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. Truly valuable links will be added by editors who have other contributions to the project. Emily Jensen (talk) 23:36, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t believe you answered my question as to whether or not such information is valuable or not. We have no sole purpose besides to help educate fans. All the rules we have read have stated that Wikipedia encourages interview links.

I am curious, would this be better handled on the Wiki Anime & Manga page? I believe they might be more knowledgeable on this sort of information. Would that be a better idea? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris918TheFan (talkcontribs) 23:42, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Part of the mechanism by which Wikipedia judges link value is observation of whether independent editors, having substantial contributions to the project, are willing to add the links. Flooding the project with external links from single-purpose accounts is unacceptable. Yes, please post a comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Anime and manga, to ascertain whether there's a consensus that every interview on your website should be linked from any available article. Whatever for? There's nothing wrong with enjoying a bit of magick while skyclad :) Emily Jensen (talk) 21:08, 24 April 2010 (UTC
Well basically you threatened me on my talk page. Not conducive for fostering Normal persons - Wiccan weirdoes relationships. Why do you believe this nonsense, exactly? Obviously you're disillusioned with Christianity but to buy into something so patently rubbish is beneath contempt. its childish and idiotic. You've never ever really thought about the cosmos in depth, have you? You're pathetic and childish and are going through a phase which you will more than likely come out of someday. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.45.211.71 (talkcontribs) 21:21, 24 April 2010
