Format
32 amateurs including Reanne Evans will take part in the event, but will need to win two rounds in order to make the televised stages. World snooker chief Barry Hearn said: "I want to open the door to the talent that's not out there on the main tour."
Evans, 24, will also be able to play on next season's new Pro Tour and said the decision was "a great chance".
