Seeding groups

Nigeria ban

It is a grand mistake to remove Nigeria from the table of the competition, the country's president says in no way interferes with the football federation of Nigeria, is independent, he has no power to revoke the selection of the country.

Fifa, who actively discourage government intervention in national associations, issued a response, saying: "We have no official information on this matter. ERemoving it is correct, as the licence of the Football Assocation was cancelled and thus is does not exist anymore. However, the presidetn hast time until tomorrow to revolve the problem - which he will not do! -- 10:28, 4 July 2010 (UTC)

2012 and 2013

It might be right (according to e.g. BBC) that there is a combined qualification for 2012 and 2013 - but how do than the two host nations of 2012 have a chance to participate in 2013 (as they are not in any group)? -- Chtrede (talk) 10:28, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No more qualifying combined

I read in a newspaper that there will be no more a qualification combined for CAN 2012 & 2013, to qualify for CAN 2013 will be played between March 2012 and December 2012, the definition of the groups will be in February 2012. Is Rabaah Saadane the new chairman of the CAF?

So Rabah Saadane told the BBC? he isn't a CAF official? is he? he isn't even a national coach anymore?

That's how it is gonna be: The 47 (46+Togo) nations who are participated in 2012 ACN are going to be the same to participate in a QUALIFYING ROUND for ACN 2013 with one nation exception that is off course and for sure is L I B Y A!! That is 47-1=46 Nations Teams, 46 Teams Divided into 11 Groups, 9 groups with 4 teams each that is 4*9=36, PLUS 2 groups with 5 teams each that is 5*2=10, 36+10=46, we are safe from the 4 teams groups, only the champion of the group will qualify for the 2013 ACN, that's 9*1=9, and the Group champion PLUS the runner up from the 2 groups containing 5 teams each, that's 2*2=4, 9+4=13, the last two teams to qualify for the 2013 ACN are the best two runners up from the 9 groups containing 4 teams each, that's 2, 13+2=15, thank you Jesus, Timing between 01 March and 30 November 2012, that's MARCH+APRIL+MAY+JUN+JULY+AUGUST+SEPTEMBER+OCTOBER+NOVEMBER, 9 Months, with one month between the end of the first cup in 31 January 2012, and a month before the start of the next one in 10 January 2013, this should be definitely more than enough for the professionals to REST.
