Arts & cultural festivals happen around the world with this similar name. Two are noted below. The first known "ArtsFest" happened in Central Florida in 1989 and is currently in its 9th year. Produced by United Arts of Central Florida, this festival currently offers 10 days of FREE arts and culture within four counties of the Central Florida area. In 2010, United Arts of Central Florida's ArtsFest provided 205 events in 75 venues across 4 counties. The tag line for ArtsFest is All Arts, All Week, All FREE!
The second known "artsfest" is described below:
ArtsFest is an annual arts festival held in September in Birmingham, England.
Since 1997 ArtsFest has brought together free short demonstrations of dance, music, film and theatre to concert halls, theatres, and open-air stages in various parts of central Birmingham. The main location is Centenary Square with events in Chamberlain Square, Victoria Square, Brindleyplace, Eastside, the Custard Factory, and many others.
ArtsFest is organised by Birmingham City Council and sponsored by commercial and non-commercial organisations.
